7. Best Practices & Tips
7.1 Optimal Batch Sizes
Recommended Batch Sizes
✓
10-50 images: Fastest processing (1-2 minutes)
Ideal for testing prompts or small projects
✓
50-200 images: Balanced (3-6 minutes)
Best for most workflows, good speed and manageability
⚠
200-1000 images: Large batch (10-30 minutes)
Keep browser tab open, consider breaking into smaller batches
7.2 Writing Effective Prompts
✓ Good Prompt Examples
- Specific: "Generate a 1-sentence alt text describing the main subject and action"
- Contextual: "Describe this product photo for an e-commerce website, include key features visible"
- Constrained: "Extract all visible text as plain text, preserving line breaks and formatting"
✗ Avoid These Prompts
- Too vague: "Describe the image" (be more specific about what you want)
- Too long: Complex multi-paragraph instructions (keep it under 200 characters)
- Contradictory: "Be detailed but brief" (choose one or provide clear balance)
7.3 Model Selection Guide
Choose GPT-4o Mini For:
- Simple product descriptions
- OCR and text extraction
- Object detection and labeling
- Large batches (save credits)
Choose GPT-4o For:
- Complex scene understanding
- Nuanced descriptions with context
- Creative prompts and storytelling
- Detailed composition analysis

9. Frequently Asked Questions
How long does processing take?
Processing time depends on batch size and model: GPT-4o Mini processes ~10-15 images/minute, GPT-4o ~5-8 images/minute. A 100-image batch typically takes 7-10 minutes.
Can I close the browser during processing?
No, keep the browser tab open. Processing happens in real-time and will be interrupted if you close the tab. You can minimize the window, but don't close it.
What happens if processing fails?
The tool automatically retries failed images up to 2 times. If an image still fails, it's marked as failed and you'll see the count. Successfully processed images are still saved and can be exported.
Can I edit descriptions after export?
Yes, edit descriptions before export using the Edit button. After export, edit the CSV file in Excel or text editor. ZIP file text files can also be edited.
How do I import CSV into my CMS?
Most CMS platforms support CSV import. WordPress: use import plugin. Shopify: use product import. Generic: match CSV columns (Filename, Description) to your database fields.
Why is CAPTCHA required?
CAPTCHA prevents automated abuse and ensures fair usage for all users. Verification typically completes automatically and remains valid for several minutes.
